Watermelon Bruschetta Recipe

Serving size: to preference

Ingredients:

  • Watermelon wedges (sliced thin and sized to preference) 

  • Heirloom tomato (sliced to size of watermelon wedge)

  • Mozzarella cheese 

  • Orange Balsamic Glaze

  • Olive oil

  • Honey

  • Fresh basil, chopped

  • Orange zest

  • Salt

*All ingredient amounts to preference

 

Orange Balsamic Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar 

  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice

Food Sources:

  • Basil (Blue Label Farms)

  • Organic Mozzarella Cheese (Rumiano)

  • Balsamic Vinegar of Modena-Light (De Nigris)

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil-finishing oil (Graza)

  • Raw and Unfiltered Honey (Local Hive)

  • Salt (Ava Jane's Kitchen)

DirectionS:

  1. Add balsamic vinegar and orange juice to a small pot and bring to a boil

  2. Reduce heat once boiling to a simmer and continuously stir for ~10 minutes (until it begins to thicken)

  3. Remove from heat, transfer to a small bowl and cool in fridge (will continue to thicken)

  4. Assemble watermelon bruschetta to preference

  5. ENJOY!
