Hot Dog Mac and Cheese Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of hot dogs 

  • 1 12oz box of pasta, elbows 

  • 2 heads of roasted garlic 

  • 2 cup Gryuere cheese, shredded 

  • 4 egg yolks 

  • 1 cup of heavy cream 

  • 2 tbsp salted butter 

  • Salt (to taste)

  • Fresh Basil, garnish to preference

  • Organic Brown Rice Pasta Elbows (jovial)

  • A2 Guernsey Heavy Cream (Origin)

  • Salted Butter/Organic Pasture Raised Egg Yolks (Vital Farms) 

  • Gruyere Cheese (Emmi)

DirectionS:

  1. Cook hot dogs to preference and slice into bite-sized pieces 

  2. Bring pasta water to a boil and cook pasta to preference (we love ours al dente!) 

  3. Strain pasta and add pasta back to pot on low heat

  4. Combine egg yolks and heavy cream in a small bowl and whisk together

  5. Add egg yolk/heavy cream, roasted garlic, gruyere cheese, and butter to pasta and mix well until creamy

  6. Serve with hot dog pieces and garnish with basil and salt to taste!
